Abstract

In this paper, we propose a novel approach to robust skeletonization. The proposed statistical method is based on the estimation of the probability density function (pdf) by the Racah moment theory controlled by Maximum Entropy Principle (MEP). This new proposed Racah Moment Skeletonization Method (RMSM) is valid for gray level craft motives. Detailed analysis of skeletonization process is presented to show its superior performance related to noise immunity.
