This paper presents a novel method for instantly updating web users with pieces of knowledge tailored to their personal knowledge interests retrieved from RSS feeds by combining the logic of fuzzy set information retrieval model with the semantics and structure of concept maps. The proposed Fuzzy Set IR model is based on custom fuzzy dictionary specific to the user’s concept map. This in turn is different from any other information retrieval method which all work based on general thesaurus or indexes based on millions of users. Experiments show that the proposed method can achieve precision levels ranging between 80% and 100%.
